摘要

I have been a subscriber to WoodenBoat for some 25 years, and I wanted to say how much I enjoyed Milo Stanley's article about his voyage to the Azores in a wooden boat ("Rime of the Youthful Mariner," WB No. 275). He's a wonderful writer and I hope to see more from him, maybe even a book. To the Editor, In the current issue is an enlightening article about the Vertue class. I would point out two errors. The first GRP Vertue Ⅱ was built by Rossiter Yachts in Christchurch as a one-off. I was aboard that yacht on a visit to Rossiter's in the 1970s, and Hugh Rossiter said that it was built to such a high standard that it was unlikely to be put into production. Later, in a less robust form, the yacht was produced by Westerly before they went into receivership, and it was from that builder that David Hays bought his hull. Bossoms Boatyard does still build them on a semi-custom basis.
