Craig A. Mueller, 63, September 8, 2007, San Diego, California. A commercial airline pilot, Mr. Mueller was an avid sailor, and he served as a crewman on several AMERICA'S Cup campaigns. In 2000, he purchased BRUSHFIRE, a wooden-hulled, 51' LOA, Sparkman & Stephens-designed keel sloop built by Driscoll Custom Yachts in San Diego in 1969. He was an enthusiastic participant on Wednesday evening "gentlemen's races" on San Diego Bay and participated in numerous charity regattas. He was a past Commodore of the Kona Kai International Yacht Club and belonged to the Southwestern Yacht Club's International Order of the Blue Gavel, the Sparkman & Stephens Association, and the San Diego Maritime Museum's Heritage Society.
