This article describes the author's experience of crossing borders, at first, without ever leaving home. It then describes numerous other borders crossed and lessons learned from that experience. The article focuses on women who have been raped during wartime and challenges the universality and medicalization of PTSD, the notion of a??victima?? and the invisibilization of other crimes committed against women during a??warsa?? and a??conflicts.a??
