FACILITATION ISSUES

There are a number of facilitation issues actively proceeding this summer:1. Beyond the Borders - The agreement calls for duplicate use of information provided once by airlines along with coordinated border programs. Working Groups have met a number of times this summer. ATAC has participated.2. PNR "Push" - is a Passenger Name Record (Advance Passenger Information) system that fundamentally changes the approach by which information is transmitted. The system went into effect this summer. ATAC has represented members in this project.3. Advance Passenger Information Administrative Monetary Penalties (API-AMPS) - refers to the methods that CBSA will use to penalize airlines for not providing required information. A Working Group, including ATAC, was established to work out a fair system.
