ROLLS-ROYCE UNVEILS NEW VERSION OF TRENT 1000-IN LEGO

Rolls-Royce celebrated the opening of the Farnborough International Airshow by unveiling the world's first jet engine to be made entirely of Lego. The engine, which is one of the most complex Lego structures ever built, is a half-size replica of the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 which powers the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.The engine was displayed at Farnbor-ough's Innovation Zone, an area designed to engage young people in science, technology and engineering. A team of Rolls-Royce engineers and apprentices used their knowledge of the engine to work with Bright Bricks, a U.K. company that specializes in brand promotions using Lego, to produce the one-of-a-kind structure.
