SoWiTec to build 200MW project

German developer SoWiTec Group is looking at investing RUB 6 billion ($180 million) in the construction of a wind farm in eastern Russia. The new plant would have a capacity of up to 200MW and would be built by 2014-2015 in Yaroslavl Oblast. If the plan comes to fruition it could produce Russia's first major wind energy project.The project would involve the construction of up to 80 turbines, to be implemented in several stages.
