Water is a precious commodity, and often taken for granted. Supplying the need for ever increasing demands of urban population and industrial developments is a formidable challenge for the water industry. The recycling of water is intrinsically an important aspect of securing safe quality and quantity of water, and ironically necessitates removal of contaminants arising as a result of anthropogenic activities.
