The present invention relates to a method for controlling surface entrapment of water flea for ecotoxicity testing and to a method for test ecotoxicity using the same, and specifically, in the present invention, it was confirmed that the surface entrapment can be controlled while maintaining low toxicity by treating saponin to a solution containing either a Daphnia galeata or a Bosmina longirostris, and thus the method can be usefully utilized as a new method for controlling surface entrapment of water fleas for ecotoxicity test and an ecotoxicity test method using the same.
