Valve problem sorted out

A FRAMEWORK contractor working on behalf of United Utilities (UU) contacted T-T division Aquaflow to help solve a problem of four persistently problematic valves that had become costly to maintain. The four DN800 tilting disc check valves, manufactured by a nominated framework valve holder, had been installed within a critical pump house that serves the region's water supply. Aquaflow worked closely with the site representatives and, serious installation issues were identified including incorrect valve sizing and poor valve design that had led to increased wear and a reduced lifespan.
