Salt separation Services (SPS) has been awarded a contract for the design, manufacture and commissioning of the Potable Water Package for the ATP Cheviot platform project, a floating facility to be installed offshore in the UK sector of the North Sea, east of the Shetland Isles. The contract, with COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard in China, is worth around US$1M and represents SPS' first ever export to China. The equipment will be capable of producing 1.1 m~3/h of potable water and 0.75m~3/h of demineralised water from seawater.
