Saxlund gets nod for truck storage silo

Anglian water has selected Saxlund, a major provider of bulk materials handling and biomass combustion solutions, to deliver a 200m3 truck loading storage silo for the loading of dewatered sludge cake into trucks. The project, which is due to take place at Anglian's Bedford plant, is the second contract that Saxlund has won with the utility this year. The silo will be supported high above the road to allow cake to be loaded directly into trucks below, before being pumped into the silo and discharged by the reciprocating action of the Saxlund Sliding Frame into a truck loading discharge screw conveyor.
