More Integration and shared risk is needed to sustain greater efficiencies in the water sector, say contractors. The Government is pushing for procurement reform to achieve 20% reductions in cost on government contracts. At the recent Construction Summit the Government boasted, a year into the implementation of its Construction Strategy, of its progress in improving procurement practices. The Government released several reports setting out the scale of procurement reform and work done towards achieving 20% reductions in cost.
