While its domestic French market continues to be a huge challenge,nretailer Carrefour has been faring a lot better in the Middle Eastnand North Africa (MENA), where it partners with the UAE-basednreal estate giant Majid Al Futtaim (MAF). With exposure to annumber of markets across the Gulf and into North Africa, CarrefournMAF has been at the forefront of the ongoing formalisationnof the region’s food retailing industry over the past 10 or so yearsnin particular.
