The City of Reno, population 220,600, is the largest city in Northern Nevada. It is located in the southern part of Washoe County, nestled on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in an area called the Truckee Meadows. Reno has a Council/Manager form of government. The Mayor is directly elected and one Council Member is elected at large. The remaining Council Members are elected by ward. The City Council is seeking a City Manager to oversee a budget of $41 0.2 million which includes redevelopment and capital projects. The general fund totals $ 180.1 million.
