Call for papers: International Congress 'IC 2020-Advanced welding technology & quality systems for developing economies' in Mumbai/India

On 6 to 8 February 2020, the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW-India) will organise the 5th International Congress "IC 2020 - Advanced welding technology & quality systems for developing economies" in Mumbai/lndia with the support of the International Institute of Welding (IIW). Welding is an integral part of the manufacturing process and hence the welding industry is poised for a vibrant change. In India, welding contributes significantly to the GDP in several ways, such as welding intensive industries, auxiliary products, complementary goods, employment, and user industries. To boost manufacturing growth, it is vital to introduce high productivity welding processes, cost-effective designs and reliable quality control methods. Welding of "exotic" materials poses technological challenges that may lead to the development of superior welding processes and quality assurance.
