In Order to obtain long-term photo-stabilisation ofpapers contain-ing high amounts of high-yield pulps,coating and surface sizing with added UVscreens and radical scavengers were applied.High stabilising effects were achieved when special T1O2 nanoparticies were used as additional coating pigments.The yellowing could be decreased by a factor of3 to 4 compared to non-protected papers.This wayit waspossible to increase the portion of high-yield pulps in printing papers up to 50 % without considerable increase of photo-yellowing.
