SAUDI ARABIA: TORAY SUPPLIES MEMBRANES TO DESALINATION PLANT

In early October, Toray Industries Inc. announced that it had received a reverse osmosis (RO) membrane supply order for Saudi Arabia's Rabigh 3 Desalination Plant. Not only will the 158 MCD desalination plant be the largest seawater reverse osmosis plant in the country, but it will also be one of the largest in the world. The Rabigh 3 plant will be located just south of the metropolis of Jeddah, which houses around 4 million people.
