After spotting newly felled logs adjacent to the Trent & Mersey Canal at Great Haywood last October, Roger Fuller of Aquagem Waterway Services approached the National Trust and negotiated the purchase of that timber, along with more that was scheduled to be felled earlier this year.rnSince March, narrowboats have been carrying the logs to Stone, Staffordshire, from where they will be sold to meet the increasing demand for environmentally friendly heating fuel. Roger's Josher butty Ilford, and Glyn & Rosemary Phillips' former GUCCCo motor Aquarius, had made several trips by the end of May.rnMatthew Parrott's middle Northwich motorboat Sickle, and Dave & Karen Parrott's small Woolwich motor Southern Cross, were loaded in June.
