The green blue, the sustainable boating'initiative created by the British Marine Federation and the RYA, has launched the Green Guide for Boat Clubs, a 20 page booklet intended to help clubs guide boaters in managing their impact on the environment. The Green Blue's development officer, Helen Waterhouse, says "As a club becomes greener it has the potential to influence its members. We recognise that clubs have priorities and are run by busy people (often volunteers) so the Green Guide for Boat Clubs is easy to read, understand and put into action."
