Some dear friends of mine (who I wonder why I'm friends with sometimes) often find it hilarious to refer to me as 'Mooring the Cut' rather than my internet nom de plume of 'Cruising the Cut'. This is due to my propensity to stay in a comfortable marina over winter and for a few weeks in the summer. Plus, I admit, occasional stop-offs when I have to leave the boat for any period.
