200 kms of pipe, more than 70 underground road/rail crossings and three new advanced water treatment plants. It will be the largest recycled water scheme of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with the capacity to supply 232 megalitres of water per day to end-users. In addition to the construction of three new advanced water treatment plants, the WCRW Project includes the pipeline routes being delivered by the Eastern Pipeline Alliance and Western Pipeline Alliance. The pipeline will link existing water treatment plants and new advanced treatment plants to provide purified recycled water for end-users. The Western Pipeline will also transport purified recycled water from the advanced treatment plants to Tarong Power Station and Wivenhoe Dam.
