AWA Awards the Best in the Sector

Innovation and expertise in the water sector were recognised at the annual AWA National Water Awards, held at the Ozwater'10 conference and exhibition. The awards celebrate the outstanding work and dedication of individuals and organisations around Australia.rnThe AWA Award for Exceptional Service is awarded to an individual member of AWA in recognition of their exceptional service to the Association.rnAllen Gale has been involved with the AWA in a number of different roles, including Federal Councillor, member of the Federal Executive and as Federal President. He was also the Australian Director of the Water Environment Federation in the US for five years. In the international context, Allen Gale represented Australia at the 2001 UNEP workshop on protection of Asian Coastal Waters and has been a specialist advisor to the Hong Kong and Malaysian governments.
