Nordic countries to fund water project

Kenya and Uganda have been selected by two Nordic countries for a trans-boundary water management project that would enable them to increase the amount of water available for both domestic use and irrigation.rnNorway and Sweden have offered $5.5 million to the east African states for the joint construction of water storage facilities on the shared Sio-Malaba-Malakisi river, which traverses ten administrative districts on either side of the Kenya/ Uganda border.
