United Nations report looks to improve food security through 'climate-smart agriculture'

The recently released United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report on agriculture, titled 'Climate-smart agriculture: policies, practices and financing for food security, adaptation and mitigation', highlights examples from around the world of moves to tackle the key climate-related issues and adopt new, climate-smart practices. The report says that a great deal of investment is still needed to fill data and knowledge gaps, research and develop appropriate technologies, and put in place incentives to ensure adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices.
