The Murray-Darling River Basin Authority has released a guide to the proposed Murray-Darling river basin plan. The guide is the first part of a three-stage process consisting of the guide, the proposed basin plan and the plan itself. The guide gives stakeholders key content of the proposed basin plan and an additional opportunity for feedback before the formal consultation and submission process begins. The authority is releasing the guide for community discussion and feedback. Feedback received before the end of November will be considered during the drafting of the proposed Basin Plan, which will be released in 2011.
