Major financial institutions announce capacity building collaboration

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the leaders of six of the major multilateral financial institutions announced recently a commitment to strengthening inter-agency sharing and collaboration on data and statistical capacity building issues. The aim is to provide the global community with better statistical tools to measure progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and post-2015 development agenda, and to improve the lives of people in the developing world.
