I wrote a column way back in September of 2008, appropriately titled "War Stories." The purpose of the article was to relate one or two of my field experiences from those I had many years ago. This month, I wish to pass on a few more of my "adventures" that might aid you or your company.rnRegular readers of my column may think I injured myself quite often during my days of working in the field. Actually, except for destroying my back, I endured very few "injuries" compared to the risks I took. I was working every day around high water pressure, single and three phase AC power with voltages ranging from 120 volts up to 575 volts, and old and outdated pump hoist trucks and drilling rigs. The exposure was certainly there.rnMost of the mishaps I experienced were minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises-no different than anyone else who works in the well and pump business. Even though I think I came through my years of field work relatively unscathed, there is one element of field work I did not necessarily enjoy but had to endure nonetheless each year.
