When you test a customer's water, you are sampling and analyzing water conditions and constituents that may include introduced chemicals and biological contaminants, such as chlorine, pesticides, metals, oil, and bacteria; and substances occurring naturally in water. The extent of their effects can be influenced by properties such as electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), pH, oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and temperature. For example, TDS influences the activity or strength of oxidizing agents (chlorine, bromine, ozone) in relation to their concentration.
