Capital vs. service contract at Bradwell-on-Sea

When faced with a water demineraliser make-up system that no longer fufills the needs of a plant, it is important to evaluate various factors in the decision on how and when to upgrade or replace the system. Those factors include collecting and analysing data from every facet of the operation, running detailed financial cost/benefit models, and/or implementing corporate goals. In the case of BNFL Magnox Generation, both ends of the spectrum have been evaluated to replace the existing make-up demineraliser systems at its Bradwell-on-Sea Nuclear Power Station.
