Hospital's water in good health

System installed to monitor water, gas and electricity supplies for the University Hospital North Staffordshire NHS Trust, has saved around ￡10,000 in water costs in its first year alone. Following discussions with the hospital regarding possible cost saving measures, Severn Trent Water specified and installed the Data Monitor system, which uses a specialised package called utilityBOX developed by BOX telematics to enable real time 'wire-free' transmission of data from on-site remote meters to a centralised PC.
