摘要

Congratulations to the Student Presenter Competition winners of AWRA's 2014 Annual Water Resources Conference held during the conference in Tysons Corner, Virginia, November 3-6. Thirty-five students participated and were scheduled throughout the 83 sessions and the poster session. Conference attendees were given the opportunity to judge the students during their scheduled session. The following criteria was used for all competitors: 1. Efficient use of allotted presentation time or poster space; 2. Quality of responses to audience questions in oral or poster sessions; 3. Effective integration of audio-visual materials; 4. Perceived preparedness; 5. Logic and understandability of material (problem, methods, results, conclusions); 6. Adequate description of context for material - conveyed purpose of paper, identified relevant literature, etc.; 7. Overall style and presence; effective communicator - enthusiasm or persuasiveness; 8. Suitability for AWRA/professional audience; and 9. Significance and originality of the material presented.
