Defining aquifer boundaries can be difficult, even M under the best conditions. However, when it comes to M delineating the boundaries of an aquifer that happens to be located between two or more countries, the science and its methods get involved in a complex and multidimensional negotiation process where every aspect of an aquifer’s hydrogeology is overshadowed by various social, political, cultural and economic variables.
