EPA Seeking Public Input On Cyanotoxin SDWA Health Advisories

EPA is asking for public feedback on additional information the agency should include in forthcoming health advisories for cyanotoxins, guidance intended to help states and drinking water utilities prepare for and respond to situations where high levels of the nutrient-fueled organisms contaminate drinking water. In a notice published in the April 28 Federal Register, EPA says it plans to hold a public meeting in Arlington, VA, May 11 to seek comment on how it can best support states and public water systems in addressing cyanotoxin public health concerns in drinking water.
