摘要

Sedimentation of reservoirs and other dammed water bodies is becoming an increasing technical and financial problem. Additionally, downstream river sections are suffering from sediment deficit. On a broad basis, sediment continuity is regarded as an important future topic on the European Water Framework Directive implementation. But not every sediment can be transferred downstream, e.g. due to contamination. Many responsible authorities, operators and planners are unsure about criteria for sediment transfer, removal, processing and deposition. The paper outlines guideline recommendations for sediment solution in technical and organizational as well as legal perspective.
