The importance and need for properly trained and certified wastewater collection system operators is the key to the successful operation of wastewater systems. This study guide is for operator's certification exams, which focuses on wastewater collection system. It consists of nine chapters. Each chapter has a set of questions with answers on different topics. The first chapter primarily tests the background knowledge. The next chapter on support systems covers questions on wastewater pumping/lift stations. It also includes knowledge questions on flowmeter and telemetry subjects. The questions on wastewater operation and maintenance issues follow the next chapter. The other chapter topics include supervision and management, safety procedures, design and construction, electrical pumps and motors, and mathematics.
