Pharmaceutical waste: as in the Titanic we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg

In a wider sense, the topic of pharmaceutical waste should be correctly extended, from an environmental point of view, to the field of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs). By definition (US Environmental Protection Agency) PPCPs are any products used by individuals for personal health or cosmetic reasons or used by agribusiness to enhance the growth or health of livestock.
