Dear Editor,rnOur Group took interest in reading the article Anaerobic digestion technology in poultry and livestock waste treatment -a literature review by S. Sakar, K. Yetilmezsoy and E. Kocak, which appeared in the February 2009 issue of WM&R. There are however two points that provoked this discussion and necessitate amplification as well: (1) the maximum temperature of the poultry manure fermentation specified in 35℃ in Table 4, and (2) the NH_3 toxicity threshold indicated as below 80gL~(-1) while an ammonium ion tolerance up to 1500 gL~(-1) was reported.
