When it came to selecting the collection vehicles for the new Bega Valley Shire residential recyclables and garbage collection contract, the waste operator wanted a truck that combined the safety benefits of low entry operator cabin, with the productivity and performance of a twin compartment 'split'collection body that could collect both garbage and recyclables from separate bins on the same route. What's more, the new vehicles also had to be rugged and robust enough to stand up to the daily rigours of a large rural collection service.
