Activity in the water and sewerage sector has fallen quite substantially since the mining boom peaked and the next two years will be challenging for contractors, according to leading business analysis and forecasting firm BIS Shrapnel. Senior Economist and Manager of BIS Shrapnel's Infrastructure and Mining Division, Adrian Hart, told Waste + Water Management Australia Deputy Editor Rex Pannell, there were now fewer projects and contractors were going to have use their experience and expertise to assess the market. "Now there are fewer projects, the sector will have to know where to target them and what type of work is involved," Mr Hart said.
