Report released into 2016s 'extreme weather event' in SA

The independent report into the extreme weather event which hit South Australia in September 2016 contains more than 60 recommendations to the State Government. The report and its 62 recommendations examines the adequacy of the State's disaster preparedness and response to the storms of 28 September which triggered power blackouts across South Australia. The State was impacted by multiple supercell thunderstorms, destructive winds, very large hailstones, locally intense rainfall and at least seven tornadoes.
