AlphaHedge Capital Brings Hedge Fund Strategies to the Masses

Alphahedge Capital Partners has launched a separately managed account (SMA) platform to provide an array of long/short equity hedge fund strategies to high-end investment advisers, consultants, family offices, broker-deal ers and institutions, according to the investment adviser. A growing number of investment advisers and their clients are frustrated by the high volatility and low returns in equities over the past decade and are seeking less volatile equity expo sure, AlphaHedge chairman and CEO Gregory Horn noted in a release announcing the SMA platform, AlphaCapture. Long/short equity strategies offer advisers an opportunity to potentially lower a client's equity risk profile without reducing the underlying allocation, he added.
