Russia - Potential Market of Vietnam's Tourism

Russia is always one of the top ten countries with the highest growth rate of tourist departures to Vietnam in recent years, according to statistics. The statistics from the General Statistics Office (GSO) showed the number of Russian tourists rose nearly 22 per cent on year in the first eight months of this year to nearly 19,000 visitors. In 2004, only 12,250 Russian tourists arrive in Vietnam, up over 43 per cent against a year earlier. Remarkably, in 2005, the number of Russian tourists soared over 94 per cent on year to 23,800 arrivals.
