Exporters in Vietnam raised these difficulties at an online meeting focusing seeking measures to boost exports in the last six months of 2008 held by the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minn City. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Bui Xuan Khu, said that Vietnam earned US$30.6 billion from exports in the first six months of 2008, up 35.8 per cent year on year. This is the highest six-month growth in the last five years.
