The massive landing of imported cars in early 2008 has led the market to an over-import crisis. A source says that some 15,000 imported cars remain unsold. This volume is calculated based on the difference between the imported volume and the registered one. If every unit has a taxable value of US$20,000 on average, these unsold cars will "bury" some US$300 million from car dealers.
