ShipServ continues Japanese expansion

ShipServ has appointed MarineNet as its exclusive agent in Japan, with the latter group now responsible for marketing and selling ShipServ's maritime e-commerce solutions to Japanese shipowners and managers, shipbuilders and vessel suppliers. H. Ozeki, president of MarineNet, which was established in 2000, said that his company's e-commerce service provides a "one-stop shop for all information thatthe modern marine industry needs, delivered quickly and accurately," and that this would benefit ShipServ, which currently caters for more than 20,000 users, spanning more than 90 countries, on its ShipServ TradeNet platform. ShipServ's Japanese shipowner customers include NYK Line, Kobe Shipping, Meiji Shipping and Fuji Trading. ShipServ has also revamped its ShipServ Pages directory, in order to offer customers a quicker, easier means of sourcing maritime suppliers online. Purchasers can access the directory, which contains contact details for more than 8,000 suppliers, for free.
