What a difference a week can make. Spot volume plungedlast week compared to the record setting pace of the previousthree weeks. While some specific fund buying was mostlyabsent during the week, additional buyers did emerge with financial,intermediaries, producers, and utilities noted as activelast week. A total of seven spot transactions involving about900,000 pounds U3O8 were reported from last Mondaythrough last Friday. Today (Monday) saw several additionaldeals, which brings September’s spot activity up to 91 transactionsinvolving about 17.5 million pounds U3O8 equivalent.
