Terrestrial Energy awarded Canadian government funding for IMSR project

On October 15, Canada’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry Navdeep Bains announced a C$20 million investment in Terrestrial Energy to accelerate development of its Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) in Canada. The award was made via the Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) and is dedicated to assist a developer of an innovative Generation Ⅳ nuclear technology. Terrestrial Energy said the funding will assist with its completion of a key pre-licensing milestone with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).
