August got off to a sluggish start, as only two spot deals were booked as awarded during the first half of the month (and both were not awarded until August 14th), but activity picked up in the last half of the month with higher U3O8 volumes and activity reported in all forms. For August, 39 spot transactions were reported. Of this total, 36 transactions were in the form of U3O8, and there was one deal each booked for conversion services, UF6, enrichment services, and enriched uranium product (EUP). For activity that involved uranium, there were a total of 37 transactions for the month totaling about 7.1 million pounds U3O8 equivalent. Term activity also picked up in the second half of the month with 14 utility contract awards (six for U3O8, three for conversion, four involving enrichment services, and one for EUP). Due to client confidentialities, all volumes are withheld.
