Spot activity was again sporadic last week as buying interest appeared to shift from day to day. However, several quiet off-market deals were reported, resulting in 11 spot transactions booked from last Tuesday through today involving about 1.5 million pounds U_3O_8. Along with some additional offmarket activity from earlier in the month, spot volume now totals about 3.5 million pounds U_3O_8 equivalent under 24 transactions. For the month, there have been fewer overall transactions for delivery at Cameco with an increase at both ConverDyn and Orano, both within the three month pricing window as well as a few others just outside that window with this month’s average delivery time period at 2.5 months.
