The 'Other' Drug Dilemma

Every year, congress authorizes increased production of stimulant medications prescribed for children given the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Still, this increased availability never is adequate. One reason is that some of these drugs make their way into the illegal market, as can be attested to by countless students, even those in medical school. Yet, much more important is the fact that additional supply cannot keep pace with the tidal wave of prescriptions.
